I have been trying to find a rule of thumb for English Language ASCII domains.
Would it be safe to say this (generally)?
If .com value = 100% then,
.net value = 50% .com value
.org value = 25% .com value
.us, .info value = 10% .com value
And a hyphen reduces value 50%
Not sure if this is accurate. Any thoughts?
good & vivid posting, I recommend!
further, I think:
.biz 1%
.name 0.1%
however, IMO, .info needs more, like 30%
.org on the other hand, 15%
I seem to get a better response on .org vs .info, but that is splitting hairs.
Thanks!
I think net is 25% of com ... and others prorata IMO
Impact of the TLD in the valuation of a name:

According to that chart, .org gets almost 2x the score of .net? Interesting. I would have thought the opposite. Especially when it comes to type-in traffic I would think more people would recognize .net over .org. Although they don't reveal their methodology so I don't know how they came up with that.
I think it totally depends on the name between .net and .org (accross the board .net is better, but .org can have a much higher ceiling)
My thoughts are the following:
.com - 100%
.net - 20%-40%
.co.uk & .de - 10% - 80%
.org - 5%-90% (some .org names may even be better than the .com...think redcross.org)
.info - 2% - 25%
That is my opinion based on my sales.
From what I hear, the value of .info is greater in Europe than USA. And the USA likes .net better than Europe. It is clear that in many countries, the ccTLD ranks the same or even above .com.
I think net and info will meet around 15% in the future.
I will be more radical:
.org, .net 3% (compare for example sex.com vs. sex.net)
.us .info 1%
.biz 0.x%
Hyphen or "the" reduces value by 90%
