website revenue verification

i am in a process of buying a website with revenue.........the seller has showed me screenshots and a check from google on his name..........how do i verify that the check he has been sent is for adsense OF THE WEBSITE HE IS SELLING.......thank you all

there is never a sure fire way to check all the lingo that is out there but if you are having doubts, don't be hasty..

Get both traffic and revenue screenshots.

Cheques from google make no mention of the source, or provide any breakdown of the month(s) earnings - the guy/gal could have a dozen websites on that account or just the one. They could also be receiving cheques for periods longer than one month as well. Use due diligence as the others have noted.

This is a tricky one. You can make a pretty good educated guess on things like CTR. If the numbers sound too good to be true, then they probably are. Also, have a look around at inbound links and ensure they are legit and are not going to disappear. Hope this helps.
