Biggie, taking a domain to development is one thing... I do it all the time.

But I am really unlikely to pay what an end user might or will.

Thats my view, like i said, your mileage might differ, but I really doubt it.

though you are an end-user, you also have more in-depth knowledge of the domain industry as a whole.

though it's unlikely that you would offer to pay more than the typical end-user who doesn't know what you do....still you are an end-user.

it's like a car salesman

when he buys a new car, he typically won't pay msrp for it....but you will.

Possibly I can be classified as an end-user since 2/3 of my domains are developed and the fact I don't try to sell names on the forums very much. In fact, most every name I have ever purchased is developed, with most all the 1/3 undeveloped being hand reg domains. The main differnece between myself and the end-users we are all looking for is that I prefer to pay reseller price and rarely pay end-user prices.

If domainers buying domains for development are now called end users on dnforum, then male domainers wearing lipstick and short skirts at next domainer conference should be called beautiful ladies.

I doubt I'll be paying 10x what he pays, even then.

According to biggie, yes. According to me, no.

An enduser is one who will use domain to promote his business and (generally) not sell that domain.

b. An end-user is a person who takes a domain from registration, (or the reseller market) and develops that domain into a viable website.

I must say that I am impressed with some conversations that I have had in the past few weeks. Members on this forum and I have either chatted via PM, email, or phone on some pending projects.

It is so funny to speak to some of these people who have become the end user "by accident".

They had the name, had the traffic, had inquiries, had conversations with so many people and suddenly found that they have something that they can create into a product and be even more useful and profitable.

Remember, a product can be anything - an idea, a tangible product, a service.

All of a sudden they like the fact they have taken domaining into site building and site ownership.

There is some deep talent on this forum.

exactly

the better he can negotiate, the lower the price

dnf members can be end users too, they just knew how to use google (to find dnf) and registered here...
