Do not register domains at GoDaddy or RegisterFly!

Moniker.com is a pretty good registrar and NetworkSolutions.com is good too.

Moniker. I just recently began transferring the bulk of my names there. Procrastination concerning the well documented troubles at Registerfly nearly cost me some valuable names.

Not really for professional domainers. Several issues have been brought up in other threads. They are not really "domainer friendly". Better for the casual customer who owns 1 or a few domains. Also, just like registerfly, not hard to imagine Bob P. spending all the revenues on something un-businesslike.

    lol, I see your point...

I am just wondering if people keep their premium names regged at places like moniker, namecheap or do if they move them to more established registrars... When i look up alot of premium names they are almost always at netsol.
    oops

Re: where do you keep your most valuable names?

Moniker and Network Solutions. If you call Network Solutions and tell them you are transferring domains out due to pricing they will give you a better deal. I got $9.99 from them on all my renewals and transfers. I split between them both as I do not like to keep all my eggs in one basket. Look at what happend at registerfly. That almost put some domainers out of business.

A major reason for that is that netsol was basically the only game in town when most of the premiums were bought. Unless the owner is a volume investor they probably just leave them there and some volume investors probably feel like it's not worth the trouble/risk of transferring some names that were regged there.

Seems to really be showing lately, doesn't it? One has to wonder why he keeps postponing his IPO.

All you have to do is tell Moniker you are a member of this forum and the cost is...$6.95. Transfers and regging...$6.95.

where do you keep your most valuable names?

Postponed? It failed once it got out that GoDaddy doesn't turn a profit under GAAP.

How wise is it to entrust names of value with a profitless company?

I could be mistaken, but I think Bob Flynt, I mean Larry Parsons withdrew the IPO three times in total.
