Whois History shows 1 record has been archived since 1999-04-09. Shall i buy?

.net & .org shows history since 1999..

shall i buy? any benefit of buying old domain name?

That domain you are looking at - is it the .com ?

no ... .com is already registered ... .net & .org are available .. and thir history is since 1999.
Yes i have an idea , users do sell here mentioning the age of the domain, but i am never been into buying a domain due to it's age!

what will you suggest? shall i go ahead and buy? will initate accordingly....

so removed all the too many if/s and but/s in my mind and registered them today (just now)

although ijust bought it for it's age, nothin less, nothin more ... and will see wht does aged domains adds to?

A .com domain has more value if all other major extensions are taken.

thanks. yes , definitely .com does - but it took me approx 13 euros to have peace of mind
all cctlds extn were available, all tlds were available except .com - only catch was age and usage of terminology in day-to-day life..

that was for the first and hopefully the last where i have bought the domain only and only and only because of age (>10 yrs).

agree.. mostly used in asian countries but is aused across the world .. ...
it's the most common practice here in india for paying fees, business deals , etc..
