If the domain is worth so much, why do the previous owners allow them to drop? If they don't want them anymore, then why not sell them off for a quick few grand?
Anyone able to shed some light on this for me?

Dead, In Jail, On the run, Bankrupt, Don't know what the names market value is, Spam filters eating renewal notices (GoDaddy) etc.

MySpaces.com dropped today -the pre-auction bid was $8k on Club Drop.
Good names expire mostly because the owner(individual or corporation) don't update their records (email address) and never receive the emails.

I let a 3 letter .com expire a few years ago for the same reason mentioned above (it was at a relatively unknown registrar as well). It was a lesson well learned though as I now keep an extensive record of all my domains at all times.

I think This one dropped because off his tm problems. Previous owner was a domainer.Originally Posted by synergy
