Nice example! I hadn't thought of it like that, that's why i'm here, to learn from you guys. I was thinking more on the lines of that it might put somone off buying 1 domain if their budget could only cover 1 of the 2 domains available.

It is better to list the two at same time, so that the buyer may not be loosing traffic from either of the domains. However, if buyer have no money to pay for the two at same time, that will be his own problem.
I would list example.com because it has way more local monthly searches in US than examples.com. So I bet it would have more chances of getting sold. Listing both would be like confusing the buyer.
