so you think that short list posted on their page will be in the live auction? i hope so
I have 3 domains that they asked me to lower the reserve (one a one word) that I am still hoping makes the final list. I have about 1/3 of the names i submitted on the list now.
My best adult name has a xxxxxx reserve and it is a two worder - hope it makes the list too!

I tend to agree with you. The one words like BJ, Taboo, foreplay, and bisexual should be the most valuable. You can take Effeminate off that list though as most people don't even know how to spell that word. As most, someone might search for it in google and it pops up, but it shouldn't get top dollar by any means.

Cum and twat are def censored but who knows how search engines operate in the future. Again, it really seems to me the most value in any 6 figure domain name is the power to flip it for double.. if not more.

There has been a small push into financing domain names by some upstarts. As soon as they show revs, they will be bought out by some of the larger banks. When you can walk into Citibank, put 10% down and finance a generic for 3-8 million, thats when the smarter guys will really cash out.

I see the initial one-word names from the preliminary Live list getting the big money, like,

BJ.com
Taboo.com
Effeminate.com
Bisexual.com
Foreplay.com

However, as we've seen in many of all the domain auctions, the best names are often set with extremely high prices and there are no buyers. Just a Hail Mary toss out there to see if there actually is someone willing to pay that much.

The names that are pure adult could possibly command less, like Cum.com or Twat.com because they are censored words on many forums, search engines, and are often filtered, you think?

There is also some really famous phrases, like, KissMyBlackAss.com, EatMe.com, BackAlley.com, DominanceSubmission.com, and SpitOrSwallow.com that could do very well in Live.

I'm not sure if there is even 300 one-word names total this time that could be obvious Live choices.

One thing though I noticed was that EatMe.com is on the preliminary Live list but isn't on the master inventory list. Was it removed from auction?? I'd love to own that one. I'd bid on that one if the price is right but it isn't listed.

I wonder if "PrematureEjaculaton.com" was intended to be sold in Live as a misspelling? Or is that just an error in the preliminary live list? If it really has the missing "i", I could see where that could certainly be developed into something profitable. I'd be interested in this one if it is the correct spelling.

I made a boo-boo myself. I didn't submit a .com that I have and the dang .mobi made the list. :(

Like any other adult name, it is in the eye of the purchaser. For some, GoldenShower or ChastityBelt might be their idea of a great domain name but of no interest to me to invest in. I'd have to disagree about Effeminate.com. I don't know anyone that couldn't spell it and it probably has as much SE count as Foreplay and certainly more than many listed. If I remember correctly, the highest price domain sold at the last Internext was SheMale.com for $700k or thereabouts and this is a name in that niche genre and will probably garner a lot of attention. Still, it is the beholder that counts.

I was disappointed some of my domains didn't make the initial list, if not Live at least Silent, right off the bat, like, Slurs.com, ManWoman.com, Fellating.com, Whippings.com, and a few others. Maybe they'll make the final list, but there is no telling at what the selection committee used as its criteria and they had tons of names to pour over and make decisions from. I can't really second guess them as much as I'd like to quarterback their decision (in a biased fashion, of course!)

Maybe Moniker is holding some back for iDate later this month? Probably not though as that is a much smaller show and attendance may not be that great. Maybe I'll have to wait another year? I'm not going anywhere. I just hope Internext attendance is as good as previous shows and that willing, capable buyers are plentiful.

Again, has anyone heard if this will be on Webmaster Radio or broadcast in some other manner? And is anyone here attending?

I agree. There seems to be a serious lack of promotion in this auction. Prob hurts the mid tier domains the most since nobody really knows its for sale.

Are there any predictions which names with crack the 500k mark? I am saying bj.com, porn.de, and bisexual.com.

Cum.com and a few others will crack 6 figures. Should be a successful auction if they promote a bit more outside of the industry.

folks - the final list is getting posted in the next few hours. There were tons of submissions, however, adult promotion has been ongoing. we are all over the AVN show now and have done several stories and interviews along with ads. the adult company owners are all contacted.

I know you think we have all been sitting around and drinking coffee....but not the case..its been pretty busy around here for obvious reasons.

No, it's the new one. It went from 235k to 374k in size.

I see Effeminate.com went to Silent. That's going to suck. I know at least one party that was planning to bid in the Live. And the misspelling of PrematureEjaculaton (missing "i") is still in Live. Maybe it will be corrected before the auction.

I'll have to go through the list all over again. It seems there has been some changes.

Domains that do NOT make either aucton, are NOT subject to the agreement.

I attended the Internext auction last year at the Mandaly Bay, I'm guessing the room had about 100 people, What's was nice is that they had a open bar, (plenty of incentive to stay ) The auctioneer did a great job of moving through the list and mixing in some good Adult humor.. Remember, the auction is being held in the city that never sleeps, I dont see the hours being a real issue.

What is interesting is I struggled to sell them here, and they are 'prime' auction names apparently.
