Adam Dicker - DCG - CIRA Nominee - ALL .CA OWNERS - PLEASE VOTE

Dear Valued Members,

DCG, owner of Dnforum has been working very hard to become a nominee on CIRA's nominee list to hopefully soon become a member of the board of directors.

We are now at the process where we need domainers who are CIRA members to show their support for DCG by filling out a short form that you can find below:

If you are a CIRA member and feel you do want to show your support, please do so by following that link.

It would be greatly appreciated as having known successful domainer who has worked very hard on creating a powerful community for many of the domainers in this industry, would be able to extend his knowledge and add a great deal to the Canadian Internet Registration Authority.

This post is not to force you to go ahead and vote. It is simply asking members of this community and your friends to show support for Adam if you feel he would be an asset to the board of directors committee.

All members that do show support, please post here publically or send a PM to DCG. The first 30 members to show support will be rewarded for taking the time out of your busy day to show support.

tried to vote but says i do not have a membership I have multiple registrant profiles i do not see what the problem is, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. I think Adam would be perfect for the dot ca market place. Read your nomination profile Adam, 50 000 names? I had no idea you had that kind of a portfolio all the more reason to put you up there i will try to get others to vote.

revolution1 did you read the fine print about having to have done something with your cira membership by a certain date and that your cira membership was not affected by your .ca domains?

I attempted to vote also but could not. I completed the application a while back when CIRA mailed out the requests to join. Someone from CIRA then made a confirmation phone call to me and then informed me that my enrollment kit? was being mailed.

I never did receive any kit or email or zit. Will give them a call tomorrow.
I will vote for You Adam if I ever get the membership.
CIRA definitely needs representation by someone who understands the domain name market. I am sure there are not to many on the board at this moment judging by the way it is set up.

Christian - being a registrant doesn't automatically make you a member of CIRA. You have to enroll for membership. I enrolled a while back when they were giving out the free usb storage devices but the cheap bastards never did send me one.

Tried voting twice now and recieve the following error:

"Error Nominee ID invalid - row not found

will keep trying

UPDATE: I called CIRA to report the error - so a tech is looking at it now
they will call me with the all clear soon - so I can confirm my vote
