he listed the price updated as $35 I think for the domain

When he made the first posted the name it states Bids start at $10 w/ $5 increments
- I then made my offer 04-09-2009, 02:15 PM
He then updated his and changed it to $35 bin...on

Funny only that name was changed to a $35 bin.... (what is the rule on this kind of action)... If you say the auction is going to close at a set time you shouldn't be able to alter the offers or prices. Set your price at your minimum or what you'd like [and work backwards]..
The name today on suspension at CIRA right now
Cira.ca at 9.49pm today Domain Name Status: tradesperson.ca is suspended.
So he would have to renew it before a tranfer can be done... He should be made to sell it at $10 and transfer it to me at Baremetal since the offer was before the change...Not change the price after an offer was made...
Here's his RULES...
- Bids start at $10 w/ $5 increments
- Buyer pays all transfer fees
- Anti-Sniping rules apply: any offer in the last 5 minutes adds 5 additional minutes to auction until closed
- payments via Paypal or Email Money Transfer from Major Canadian Banks ($CDN)
AUCTION closes Tuesday, April 14th at 8 PM Pacific/ 11 PM Eastern
---->>>> I did what it said --- He didn't honor the above rule...
Right now it says Bid not BIN so I assume someone out bid you via PM. Also .ca's are not like .com's etc they can be transfered in SUSP state without needing to be renewed as transfering adds an additional 1 year.
Cheers,

There is no such thing as private bids on an auction. He should be the outright winner.
Thank You theinvestor that's what I thought ... Auctions are to be out in the open ... Not hidden in a PM ... But the moderators should be able to see if there was a valid pm offer on the name through DNForum backend. We'll have to see what they think!
I think regardless, if a bid came private...the least thing the OP can do is at least tell you a bid came in...or else it's no longer an auction.
Dominatrix -
Care to explain why the minimum bid was raised $25 after someone bid the initial minimum bid?
If you received a bid via PM then you should have said that by at least editing the initial post.
This leaves the potential buyer a good reason to leave you negative feedback.

Hello All,
I am just checking in here after a few days. I did receive a $35 offer outside the forum, but if these are not acceptable, I will definitely honour the $10 bid from URLbroker.
Also, at no time was the minimum bid raised to $25.
Also, just to clarify, as you can see by the timestamp on the opening message, the new bid of $35 was posted prior to the close of the auction at 4:14 PM on April 14th, not post closing, so the new bid was posted on the forum, just not in a new post, but in the original.
If this did not follow protocol, then URLbroker, please initiate the registrant transfer.

tradesperson.ca ---> SOLD....I will initiate the registrant transfer. Please PM with your email for PayPal payment.
Thanks
Domainatrix...
Payment sent through Paypal and I am going through Baremetal.com so I just paid for the domain to be renewed and requested it to be moved over to there system [1st a registRAR transfer] then once there we will do the registRANT transfer.
Thanks
p.s. To everyone who posted there thoughts I appreciate it because a auction is not a auction without full disclosure ...
Tradesperson.ca transaction complete...
Thanks Domainatrix for being so quick.
Also, thanks to all those who took the time to help. Cheers.
