You can find out about transferring a .co.uk here
http://www.nic.uk/registrants/maintain/transfer/

Paperwork needs to be completed and submitted to Nominet for change of registrant.

Unfortunately Nominet seem to be stuck in 19th century as far as systems go, I think personally it is deliberate policy agreed with Government and tax authorities but they would no doubt say they are "working on it". How can any bona fide Registry still use paper transfers.

It's a legacy issue more than anything else.

Due to the way Nominet is structured changing the transfer system would involve agreement from its members, so it won't happen that quickly

I sold one of my .co.uk names last week, Nominet was very fast, the whole process took 5 days. This was from offer through to transfer. Using Escrow.

So .co.uk is not as fast and easy as .com, net etc but much better than it used to be.

For this fast turn around buyer and seller both need to be on the ball.

Definitely true, most transfers go through within 1 day provided the buyer and seller have sent off the right parts of the form with correct payment (£10 + VAT).

.co.uk push ?
I know that some registrars like eurodns will allow you to push any name to another user account but the whois at the registry will remain unchanged, so the legal owner is still the same. Check the whois of your names.

I have checked and see that the registrant name is the same :(

What do I need to do now to change this? Thanks in advance for assistance.

Thanks heaps - contacted the seller and have let him know there is more that needs to be done. Would hate to wait a few years then have a nice price on offer and then see that I am not the owner.
