Indian Government Seizes Lund.in from me...

You should have been contacted via email by the registry about Lund.IN being suspended for a violation of their terms and and conditions due to obscene content.

The word Lund in Hindi means Penis, I find that hard to be obscene when half ther country owns one.

But oh well, It took them 6 years to decide it was obscene, Created On:16-Feb-2005 .

You're better off using a free domain like xyz.wordpress.com than using either .in or .cn.

Why on earth would Indian government confiscate your domain name? Lundi mean Monday in French, isn't it? Wonder what kind of stuff you had on your site. Any sample?

How does the law work? Do you have any right to fight for it? Or whatever the government says goes?

Lund is a pretty large city in Sweden, so that seems legit. On the other hand, the hack Lundin was also the last name of a famous Danish serial killer

Indian National Language is Hindi and is a multi-cultural country. T
his word is mostly used as an Abuse / Insult / Adult / Vulgar and to give an example
is not even permitted in Indian Hindi Movies unless the director is ready to put the certification "A" with additional terms / conditions.

The domain can be retained only if is a registered TM / IPR / Branding especially when the owner of the domain is not an Indian.

Irrespective of the content, ideally these domains should have been reserved / not allowed to be registered by Nixi but it allowed to ; overseeing the complications later.

I too would be curious if there's been any other developments. Otherwise, the whois shows that the domain is in a "hold". It looks like the Indian registry placed the domain in eternal limbo -- all while retaining Adam's contact info.
