I think .travel is far from being brandable enough to get decent mindshare, but as many others have said; this is a great name.

I would counter in low $xx,xxx but don't think you would get anything over $20K... (given that it's a .travel)...

Good luck with the negotiations and sale - hopefully it is a serious buyer.

Prior to starting this thread, he had wanted me to call him (but I was unable to) I am sure to discuss this offer.

I have no doubt that it is a legitimate offer.

And I have no doubt that Jorge wanted to get legitimate and "educated" opinions relating to this.

Jorge's forte is Spanish, Spanish language, and Spanish sites.

His forte is NOT dot travel but he has invested in some obviously heavy traffic domains and, yes, dot travel does get traffic.

The domain extension is a keyword when combined with another keyword it can stand alone and get natural type in traffic.

He has made some very shrewd decisions and, despite the odds and doubts, has marketed heavily towards the Spanish speaking community here in the US and internationally.

And he has done so very successfully.

Give this 'bro a break and lay off the personal attacks.

Sure, it would take much to figure it out but at least the full domain is not indexed.

On a side note, no one should assume these domains to not get traffic. I only have a few and they get steady traffic.

My advice is to sell it no later than the first counteroffer. Ask yourself how many times you have visited a .travel website for non-domaining purposes or run across one in search results. If you're like me, the answer is zero. Although there are some extremely rich people in Saudi Arabia, not everybody who is from the country is rich. In the mean time, you might solicit the owner of SaudiTravel.com or SaudiArabiaTravel.com and advise them of your current offer.
