How is this done?

Sometimes when i type in a keyword, like thesaurus, in the browser address bar, it will automatically go to thesaurus.com. How does this happen? Sometimes it does this, and then sometimes it goes to a google/yahoo search results page. Anyone know how this ".com" auto-association is done?

Try it with Google's '"I'm feeling lucky". Same method. Browser intelligence

Your right, if there is no

testsite.com

then it searches google for the first site that comes up as

testsite

and will load that one.

i.e. test-site.com
