Wow!
Looking for good synergy to come from this acquisition. (Especially looking for better parsing of domain topics, to reduce the creation of irrelevant ads/links/articles in both services.)
Good luck with the transition.

Great News!
Parked rocks!
It was announced today that Parked.com purchased WhyPark.com.
This has been in the works for a while.
Craig Rowe will remain with WhyPark.com .

This is a smart move for Parked and WhyPark.
With Parked reaching it matured level and with all of the discussions about the future of Yahoo,
Parked is attempting to move into the next level of evolution of monitizing bulk domains.
One of the signals this was in the works was the announcement last week that WhyPark was elliminating setup cost.
Good luck to both companies.
How quickly will the other ppc companies move in this direction?
If I have a parked account am I now able to use the whypark services automatically?
Both Parked and WhyPark are two different plaforms, each with their own seperate accounts. If you would like an account on whypark, please signup.

I applaud Donny and Parked for fast action to become part of the trend of minisite generators.
Certainly Parked can feel the change in direction and to become part of that change is commendable.
Just signed up, I will give it a whirl.
thanks don, I will...![]()

Sounds good to me too. Congratulations for both. Parked.com had been growing like crazy.. I think at the expense of DS and others...
Wonder how much they paid for it.
Anyway seems like parking industry is consolidating (revenuedirect bought by sedo, ....)
This is huge...sure to shake up the industry as a whole!!!![]()
Mergers are never good. Fewer options - closer to monopolies. Parked.com already has a fully custom tool, enabled selectively. This appears to be a strategic acquisition move in order to eliminate a growing opposition.
Does this mean we'll see some RSS feed options @ parked now?
Acro - What do you mean? You want to pull RSS feeds from other locations to your parking page?
Donny
smaller companies will have a harder tie to survive. They won't get the right feeds and now Whypark.com can get the ad feed from parked (yahoo), so the users of whypark might actually gain from this.
This is great news and will be a big improvement for WhyPark. WhyPark is now free to host unlimited domain names. They did charge $100 for 100 domain names. Upgrades to your WhyPark account are available for a monthly fee.
