DomainApps will now have all Parked.com and WhyPark domains (the site looks exactly like WhyPark) and there's Voodoo too,
Voodoo is not affiliated with Parked or DomainApps. Donny left Parked quite some time ago and recently started up Voodoo, which uses Google feeds. I highly recommend Voodoo. Hope that helps.

Parked.com had been struggling with very low payouts for months. Voodoo is a good alternative to move to.

Things went downhill with the Yahoo feed and the TQ scores.
Voodoo has shown me that parking is not dead for those with natural traffic.
Although I do think that Google and the mobile market will eventually kill most type in traffic over time.

You really have to ask two questions -
    1) Are they willing to upset the buyer by making this announcement and having people leave the company en masse, thus killing the profit from the Parked buyout?
    2) Does Parked, a company who is pretty much gone, really care? They already have the $$$.

Also, after looking over other companies, I've noticed the few domains that I had with Bodis did pretty well, I just moved about 100 more over to them, expect to have the rest in the next few days.

I also received no email or other communication. Their Website, including the knowledge base, has nothing about Parked.com. Domains still work using Parked.com servers but no way to know how long.

My Parked.com login doesn't work there either.

I also haven't received any kind of information from them, my parked.com also don't worked at domainapps.com. I've tried to sign up there and dadada never received their account activation email.
If you want to ruin a business - that's exactly the way to go.

There is no parked/domainapp rep at dnf who will comment regarding this issues, right? Well, let's forget about them.

When I read about cases like this one this I always wonder what were they thinking? Not just parked.com and directnic but others too with 100s or 1000s of TM violation domains.

I wonder about why they did it not based just on the obvious risk of a big lawsuit but also the issue of how in the world could the vast majority of these wothless domains possibly get enough traffic and ppc to pay the high reg fees? After reading the list I would estimate 90% would get basically no traffic.

I wonder if the lawsuit by Verizon has anything to do with Parked shutting down.

    Its too sad.

IMHO verizon should have get the domains trasfered and close it rather than make the company to shut down.

verizon is a very big company and they should have identified it in early stages and not to find fault after a long time.

But this is a huge warning for all registrars to be cautious on TM domains registration

Wow. This explains quite alot. The liability a parking company assumes by letting someone park their domains with them.

Verison giant megolithic company, and parked mon-n-pops tv shop.

If this was the case, then that explains alot, and should be a forewarning to all parking companies on how to accept business from clients.

Just another big dog explaining how small-dog industries should conduct business.

This is why I got so pissed at GoDaddy supporting SOPA when they had no problem selling you the name in the first place. They could address the problem more professionally, but instead decided taking your money was ok, but supporting a SOPA-like law was also ok.

But I am not ok with that.

So ridiculous... I can't access my account at domainapps, I can't see any of my stats from last year to complete my income reports and I haven't been paid outstanding revenue from before Parked closed.

No email notification, nothing. Not impressed one bit. Once I get access to my account, everything gets pulled.

The business dynamic for parking took a dramatic turn when
google decided parked pages dont deserve any ranking nor reward.

    This will be the standard.

minisites may be next. Must have unique content.
It looks like Penguin has brought this to fruition.

No more hanging billboards on vacant proprties.

Time for the 'industry' to consolidate and start selling their books of inventory.
No more room for vast quantities of psuedo placemats.

The money will be in sales, or full-blown dev.

Amything else may be damaging to the property value.
