this happens sometimes...usually caused by a newly parked name getting clicked on by search engine spiders (like google) wait and see..you may actually get paid for it
I'm buying credit, banking, loan, insurance related generics in .com, .net, .org with high search volumes/traffic. Will consider typos too! - PLEASE PM with name, info, & asking price!

yeah? i didnt know that happened. I have 53 domains parked with them so maybe it might happen again with some of them. I might send Donny a message and see what he says as hes my account manager.

We had quite a few click bots yesterday. It happens every few months. I think we have it mostly under control now.

Just had one of mine reduced from $282 to $43, it has happened several times this week!

It is not a fault with Parked, just that of course the search companies have to make their bots more aggresive to try and counter Parked blocking each bot as it is found.

    I Knew the 18th was wrong. $ x,xxx.+
It was 15 times higher than my normal daily average.
And, I knew it was the bots.

The problem I have is when they delay correcting it.
I think they make drastic corrections and I ended up making
much less than my daily average.
And, I end up being short changed due to the problem and their over re-action.

Hence, yesterday's (friday) results are down over 20% from my daily average.
I could understand if it was a saturday or sunday but it was a friday.

My Trafficz revenue numbers after the correction is right on my daily average.

And, ironically my DomainSponsor numbers yesterday were way above my daily average.

Since, Parked knew they had a problem and was over promising revenue even if it was an estimate,
they should have error'd on the side of the customer, not on the side of Parked.

You mean that one of my domains didn't really have 3 visitors who clicked 50 times? There goes 98% of yesterday's revenue ... (sigh)

actnow - If you are trying to say that we are shaving, just say it. Last night when our stats finalized I was at Universal Citywalk in Hollywood and today when they finalized I was at Disneyland. Our operation is completely automated. We have multiple providers that we get data from everyday and unfortunately for the past few weeks Ask has been really late for some reason. There isn't anything I can do about that.

If you were hit by the bot we currently have, then yes we over estimated. So yes your numbers should have been lower than we estimated since we didn't fully come up with a solution to stop the bots until about 10pm PST last night. Another option is just to turn off the estimates, then you really don't have to worry about it at all.

But If you think we are shaving please go back to Trafficz or Domain Sponsor and then you won't have to worry about it.

    Donny,

I had only been parking with you a couple of weeks when I was hit by a rather strange bot from South Africa (it was a research bot from a rather big company). I had no idea what was going on and posted on another forum I was on at the time asking for advice. You saw my post and tracked me down in chat and helped me understand what was going on. No other parking company out there would have done that, they generally just ignor their clients/members. What is more is my portfolio manager (Baron) is always helpful and extremely patient with me.

This thread is mainly just us lot having a whinge!

Hell, if a click-bot is all we have to moan about it proves you are doing really well.
