I know I need a hosting company, but which one?
I am famaliar with godaddy, but I don't know which hosting package to get.
Do I need something unlimited because of the number of pages?
Any info from current template users would be appreciated.

Go to webhostingtalk forum.
You'll probably want VPS acct or reseller acct with unlimited domains.
Will cost you about $100/year with good reliable host.
You may be able to host 50 to 100 sites with this acct.
Dude, I only need one hosting account for one domain.
Are we talking about the same thing?

If you get a hosting account that allows multiple domain names, that might be a good idea. For example, if you got another domain name with traffic that you wanted to use with a template, you would be ready to go without have to buy another hosting account.

I guess depend on how much money you are willing to get involved in.
I have sufficient $$$ to pay $100 a year, but is this necessary.
I, right now, have only one or two domains I would like to monetize via templated websites.
Can anyone recommend a hosting company's plan that can be upgraded as domains and templates are added?
BobGuzzo.comdomains.
Bob, $100 a year is not necessary for hosting a template that is less than 1 meg, you will need a reseller package to add more domains under the same account though , you can't upgrade a standard 1 domain package to a reseller package without moving the 1 domain/template to a new reseller account afterward. A member here has 1 domain hosting for these templates at itsyhost.com , or you can check out multiple domain reseller packages at hostgator.com and resellerzoom.com.
You do not need a reseller account. A shared account with Unlimited domain add-ons should do just fine for you.Originally Posted by DNjet

Webfreak, do you recommend a company that offers, "A shared account with Unlimited domain add-ons?"You do not need a reseller account. A shared account with Unlimited domain add-ons should do just fine for you.
Thanks for creating DNCoupons.com , I use it all the time.

Yes , but looking down the road , it is the same money to gain the WHM ,and have the flexibility if you want to sell the domain/template and include some kind of deal leaving the site on its current host., then you can give them access to their own panel, you can't do that if its on a shared panel.
I will never sell a domain/site. The only way domains leave my account is by WIPO.
All I need to know is if I can get a godaddy one pager, now a 5 pager, and upload my template. Or do I need more space because of the "pages" ?

No problem.Originally Posted by BobDiGiTaL
Anyway, you should really research web hosting companies on web hosting forums before making a decision. Any big company will have bad reviews, so just keep that in mind.
But, from the start, I'd say avoid 1and1 and GoDaddy.

Please, PM or post a link to one.
Onerate, I see you .
You got anything to say?

i use hostgator which have a great cpanel and you can upgrade to a reseller package when and if required.
Hostgater?
What about resellerzoom.com?
Any negatives about them?
The ability to upgrade seems to be a wise choice.
I just want to get my template up so I can tell everyone here how much increased revenue these template generate compared to parking.
I have chosen hostgator and used their coupon "musica"
Their cheapest hosting plan is $6.95 per month, but you have to pay for 1 year.
The next hosting plan costs $9.95 monthly, but you can pay one month at a time.
The coupon was for $9.94 so my first month was basically free.
I will report revenue increase or decrease in a few days.

I use resellerzoom's $4.95 reseller package and it has been a good value for the price.

A big "Thank you" to all who have helped me thus far.
I have a link on a PR 5/10 site, so I should be indexed soon.
I will report back with revenue and traffic updates.

Its only been a week, actually the template didn't go live until Thursday.
Revenue is same as "traditional" parking pages. Per click average did go up considerably yesterday. I occasionally enjoy $1+ from parking services.
According to my Traffic Club stats, Google pays the lowest per click. :greensigh:

Bob,
I think you made a good choice in going with hostgator. I personally use elitehosts.com as a reseller and have been very happy with their stability and customer service. I also use bluewho.com. I haven't used hostgator but know of a reseller who has and is happy with them.
For your purposes, you've chosen what you've chosen as far as reseller/non-reseller. As for the company you chose, I think you'll be comfortable with them. I've seen them mentioned and/or advertised on alot of reputable forums.
Good luck with your venture!
