I'd like to know and I'm sure you would too

I would think a fair number of people bought DNF templates and hey for the price why not. Yet in doing a through review through this forum today it seems most people have turned away from the templates they bought and gone back to parking, even some of the example links posted by admin for potential customers are now parked google pages not DNF templates.

In fairness to every member can we get those who have already spent the money give a real picture of how many people have them in use and making money(don't have to say how much) but details on did you have to do work on them, how long have the been up etc.

I think a consumer report is due on these templates.

I'll start.

Last May I bough 7 templates. Stats are May 20 2006 - Feb 10 2007

Channel Page impressions Clicks Earnings
1 92 0 $0.00
2 113 2 $1.68
3 798 59 $20.37
4 2,343 52 $14.60
5 631 59 $32.66
6 1,475 349 $45.44
7 1,678 197 $73.63

The only site I did not do work on myself after purchase was #1, #3 I changed template style altoghther, the others I have done a fair bit of keyword adjustment and seo and the one I have adjusted the most but also has the most generic name is #7.

My experience in a nut shell is they are a good product for the money but not in its off the shelf form, these will require a lot of work to reap the $$ Reward. Again this is only my experience, I would love for others to post on theirs. (I have not put the domain names so this is not seen as self promo)

I think these type of sites need some work after published online. Some work at SEO side, popularizing them, link exchanges etc.

The thing is that you have to realize that the content will be "scarped" (and that is just a good word for stealing) from other websites / blogs etc. so you are getting an illegal copy of content tat is not only illegal but also bad for SEO and can get you some enemies...

want to find where the text was lifted from - use Copyscape - they use Google API so if they find where the text was copied from you can be sure that Google already knows where the original is.

Re: I'd like to know and I'm sure you would too

This looks like an interesting thread.

Any word from other owners of PCC template sites?

Any word from the team who is making these templates?

Thanks

It's generally a simple decision. If your domain doesn't get type-in traffic, a template allows you to do things to generate traffic (SEO, search engine submission, links, etc). If it already gets decent traffic, you will typically do better by parking it.

I was under the impression if you have traffic your PPC site would make more money.
Good to know that is, other way around.

These PPC sites are designed to give you a head start with a domain that does not receive any traffic as it will put up a content site integrated with SEO and help your domain get indexed within the searchengines.

The content is free content pulled from free article sites provided to publishers.

We did not say you no longer need to do any work on these templates to help get them indexed better or ranked higher. No matter what content site you have, you will need to do a certain amount of work to it to keep it updated and ranked higher within the search engines.

For domains that already receive traffic, there are 2 types of directions your domain can take. Some will go up in revenue because the page is much more targeted then parked pages and there is content to keep your visitors clicking through your site. If the template is targeted enough you should see an overall increase. Other domains may decrease in revenue as some parking companies provide higher payouts/percentages for certain ads then others.

Not everything is cut and dry. However if you are looking to build long term traffic, content sites are the way to go, as parked pages will not always be around. Content sites will take over.

Thank you
