Looks cool Adam, but contains this code:
google_page_url = "http://www.ericgiguere.com/about/google-adsense-tips.html" ;
Mistake? Thanks.

What happened to the site, all I get is coming soon page?
Would greatly appreciate keeping me in the loop on the newest template and how DCG has something even better than the page referral URL (something I was always afraid to implement myself).
P.S. Find it amazing anything could be superior to a Referring to Page URL code to an outside well targeted website, IMO an excellent solution to poor targeting and something G should in fact allow all trusted publishers to use, rather than be against the TOS at it is.
P.S. The only thing I can think of now as being better would be a long list of adword keywords which publishers can pick and choose from for their adsense.

The URL was given to Adam purely as a test for the new version of the template system. He elected to keep the resultant site URL private, which I did. MakingAdSense.com has no code yet.Originally Posted by trader
I'm guessing that the new template system will not be AdSense-based.
I'm also sick to death of Google's pathetic AdSense spider.
Later.
Thanks but how can the url be tested if it does not resolve to a website? Perhaps I am missing something in the thread.
Do you think the new system will be based on Affiliate Sensor?
The demo was hosted on his server so the URL was inconsequential. The keyword was the important thing.Originally Posted by trader
Adam, what's the deal with braids.com and penpals.com? Are you getting better results now without the adsense templates there?
The URL is not inconsequential? G uses the URL keywords and word parsing as one of the things it looks at when the site is spidered by goooglebot and mediapartners bot both to target the ads and index the site.
Do a G search for some keywords and you will see the URL or part of the URL is in boldface type along with words located in the content area, indicating the url helped to a degree.
I also have some multi-word url sites where IMO I rank #1 only because my domain name is the exact same as the search words.
Interesting, I'm going to try it as well.
I understand what you're saying and I know about Google's criteria. The URL was apparently inconsequential in this experiment only - Adam even changed it. You'll get this into context once the next version's released. Hopefully I will too, given that the site code contained a 'google_page_url=' line.Originally Posted by trader
Has anyone here had any problem with the use of these templates (contacts from the Adsense team, etc.)? I am also worried about that part in the Google rules.Originally Posted by aZooZa
Thanks for the info guys

What happened to this one, I still only get a coming soon page?
Yeah, I have the same question.Originally Posted by aZooZa
I would really like to know how many percent higher revenue do you get with the templated AdSense, as opposed to domainsponsor, for example.
penpals.com seems to be linked to Google's Oingo program.
(If your sites generate more than 750,000 page views per month, AdSense for domains is for you)
How does Oingo perform? compared to DomainSponsor?
From what I understand, oingo will pay you 50% of the ad revenue.
And I suppose domainsponsor, who has a partnership with Google (oingo?) will give you 25% of the revenue.
Has anyone made a move from DS to Oingo?? ... this could result in a quick doubling of one's revenue. :santa:
