Best of the lot is nda.in because it stands for National Defense Academy as well as
National Democratic Alliance. Goodluck.

Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!Caveat: I don't speak Hindi. I know there are translating issues between the native characters (Sanskrit?) and Roman characters. I know the .in extension has yet to prove its worth, and therefore value of domains in this ccTLD may vary greatly. I also know that pretty much everyone has some great .in domains in their portfolio as a result of last week's landrush, therefore these may or may not have any apparent value. I am prepared (and expecting) criticism, if it is done thoughtfully and with respect.
Okay, having gotten all that out of the way, I am curious of others' opinions (ESPECIALLY those who speak Hindi) as to the value of the following domains:
nda.in
ndi.in
ndu.in
nga.in
ngi.in
nja.in
nji.in
nka.in
nki.in
npa.in
npi.in
nsi.in
nta.in
nte.in
nti.in
nva.in
I selected all the 3-character character sequences (from the dictionary list of Hindi words that DCG posted), as they were all preceeded by a dot (i.e., bai.nka = Bank). Whether this period is a typo, accent, or what, I have no idea (and I wasn't about to spill the beans of my idea before registering the domains -- I figured this was a risk worth taking).
So nka.in could make for the domains bai.nka.in, as well as several other Hindi words that also end with ".nka". In total, the domains above represent over 500 individual dictionary words with a ".???" ending.

I agree with URLtrader, NDA is the best.Originally Posted by URLtrader
None of the others will have any value the way you mentioned
(bai.nka = Bank)
NDA stands for "Non disclosure agreement" also ;-)
Thanks for the feedback, all.Originally Posted by a2zofb2b
Also, I should have mentioned, it would help to know if your opinions are backed by actual knowledge of Sanskrit / Hindi. I.e., can any native speakers confirm the reason for the dot in bai.nka? Is this actually a period? If so, I would imagine that bai.nka.in would have some value to Indian business.

Also, here's a link to the dictionary that DotComGod posted elsewhere. bai.nka is one of the best illustrations, but if you do a search for the other combinations above you will see numerous occurences of words ending in ".LLL" where LLL is a letter combination above.

I assume this is public domain, since it has already been posted on this site. If not, let me know and I will pull it down.

My opinion is based on my actual knowledge of Hindi.
Although Sanskrit is the base for many Indian language , it is not used much commercially.
Moreover in future, the registry may come up with IDN registration.
But rest assured, you might get your moneys worth with NDA.inOriginally Posted by from the registry
