$50 - 75 is what people told me about P8.org when I owned it. I did sell it for $299, but I was told it had a meaning in Italian, it means 8-ball, or "number 8".

I think your recent contest win might be going to your head if you're telling Neal he won't get more than $75.
Sale should fall in the $200 to $300 range.

Last time i asked for a 2 char .org apprasial i got suggestings like 50 bucks.... i soon sold those for 399 / 299, etc
I say if anyone is willing to sell a 2 character org/net for under 100 please contact me =)

$300, but the market only exists because of domain name investors - these sort of names seem to just bounce between domain name investors and very rarely get sold retail.
I was wondering, why do DN Specuators pay so much for goofy 2 and 3 letter domains that don't mean nothing? I mean, not to sound all condescending or nothing (forgive the grammar, I'm drunk...just got back from hangin out with the Utah Bikini Team) but I've been trying to figure it out for quite a while. It just seems really odd.Originally posted by tigga

Can someone please give me a serious explanation, and I'll read the answer tomorrow when I'm sober?

I wonder the same thing. It's a novelty that will wear off, and then all these people that paid $400-1000 for a name like 5t.org will be lucky to get $25.Originally posted by TheBansche

They are still a novelty, but my advice is sell now.

As time goes on, two character .org's will only become more rare and in demand. This will be especially true now that PIR has instituted a moratorium on two character domain registrations.
Take your example of 5t.org. Any of these business could have a use for 5t.org
5T Floral http://www.5tfloral.com
5T's EMBROIDERY SUPPLY http://www.5ts.com
5T Culture Center http://www.cinqueti.com
The 5T Consortium http://www.5t-torino.it/consorzio_en.html
As far as novelty domains go, two character org's are far more usable and sellable to an end user than most three letter .com's and even most "dictionary word" domains.

PIR.Org has confirmed that they are NOT renewing any expired 2-letter/character names.
I queried MW.org that expired a few days ago and got that confirmed directly from them - apparantly some ICANN directive in April 2001 they're following.
In theory that should increase the value of these domains.

Please see http://www.icann.org/tlds/agreements...pk-26apr01.htm
which details the reason that it is not possible to re-register two letter domains, once they have been deleted.

...And to think YOU people wondered why I registered the domain name "AbolishICANN.org" and use it as my primary spam email address. That band of loosers is COMPLETELY worthless and they should ALL loose their jobs. Between stupid "directives" banning "two letter" domain names, rediculous new TLDs nobody uses or even cares about (like dot-aero and dot-museum), and this absolutely worthless "redemption period" that everyone thinks was Verisign's idea but I have on good authority was not, what else do these morons have to do to be declared completely imcompetent?...- apparantly some ICANN directive in April 2001 they're following.
