I have an offer from someone to buy my npo.com domain. How much is it worth and if I want to get the maximum price, where is the best place to sign up for this great 3 character domain?
Thanks in advance.
I would appraise it at: $30,000-$50,000 easily

Uhh that is WAY off for the reselling community. If you are selling to a multimillion dollar corporation that is possible...Originally Posted by synergy
But on the resellers market, this name is probably 3,000. Only ovt w ext of 73.
Are you joking?
$3,000 for premium 3 letter .com with OVT with extension?
The very worst 3 letter .com's sell for at least $3,000.

I estimate reseller value at $10-$15K. Very nice name.

So, you have to recognize reseller value and enduser value
in my opinion
Reseller - $6,500 - $10,000
Enduser - $15,000 +

High $xxxx to Low $xx,xxx IMO.
This is easily a $10k name on the reseller side. It is composed of all premium letters with great end-user sale potential.
An end-user sale could easily be worth $30k +
Good luck with this one!

thanks for your feedback everyone.
so i have an offer for 11k right now. two follow-up questions:
1. where should i go to try to maximize this offer?
2. once i accept an offer what is the best escrow service?
thanks again!
1) Upgrade to Platinum and post it here on DNF
or www.sedo.com or www.Afternic.com
2) Moniker.com's Escrow Service (http://www.moniker.com/aftermarket/escrow.jsp)

I think this name is worth more than $11k. I would list it on SEDOs homepage for the $69 per month and if you are patient you could easily get more than the 11k. sedo also has an escrow service or you could use escrow.com.
$11k is a good offer, but I'd try and find out what the buyer has in mind for this domain. This can be tricky to do, but you can start to guage if this is an end-user buyer by how badly they want the domain (via the way they handle the negotiation on their end).
Find out what the breaking point is for them (ie. the point where they just can't go any higher on the price). How they get there will tell you a lot, and once there you'll have a decision to make on your own. You'll never know for certain if you're leaving money on the table by selling, but if you can get a price you're happy with, take it and feel good about this one. If you need to hold it, your name is of great quality and other strong offers are likely down the road.
Finally, I too recommend Moniker.com's escrow services. Unlike escrow.com, they handle the transaction on both ends. They will accept the money from the buyer and then they will also have you transfer the domain to their (Moniker's) control. Both of those in hand, they can then exchange the goods (domain to buyer and money to you) and guarantee a successful and safe transaction. Their fees are a tad higher than escrow.com, but well worth it in my opinion.
Good luck with this one and congrats to you thus far!

It's a good one no doubt about it. And I agree with SouthernTn, you really have to look at it reseller vs. enduser for this one.
Enduser could go as far as up to mid $xxk, but I'd value it around $25-$30k
Good luck
too expensive
