    org's

That certainly is a major issue with org's, and is either a very positive or negative aspect. I recall a forum member who has been pushing a domain (I think it was PowerTools.org) for a long time.

An industry like Power Tools simply does not work well with an org extension. An exception to that may be a directory of firms involved in that industry but not positive about that even being a valid exception, though I suspect it would be a better usage than a site selling power tools, for example.

From my standpoint it has been a positive. Most people can't seem to differentiate between the businesses where .org does not work and those where it works great. That keeps them out of a market that is profitable for those of us who do understand the difference.

The extension does not work at all for many industries and areas of interest. But if you learn which ones they do work for, it is a great market.
I think there is a danger of becoming too analytical as far as what works well for orgs and what doesn't. I know because I have been myself and my thinking has changed as far as breakfast.org is concerned - using it for a "start of day" portal is a great use for the name. If you have premium one worders like Beachie for instance or great two word orgs I think you can bypass the critical thinking on whether the name matches the extension or not. It is only when you have just Ok names that one should start to really question whether they are worth registering in this extension or not. You certainly do not fall into the latter category Duke - this is just my general view

Yes that is it Duke - Tell them to buy .ws domains - They are real hot right now - Stay off the orgs they are worthless in most cases, except the ones we all already own -> http://dnforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29415
Widgets.org and 1600.org are strong domain names - bet they wont last long.....
