    BillboardBunny.com

see any value in this name?
Naturally, it would target the billboard biz offline.. but would make for a great directory of 'available billboards' nationwide..

    BillboardBunny.com

    Thanks for your feedback.

hrm.. the "bunny" part seems alittle strange to me.

Is it come kind of inside term within the BB scene?

I do a quite a bit of traveling across the usa.. i see many 'empty' billboards..
with a SMALL.. phone # to call.. if you wish to advertise on that board..
By the time you passed up the board, you've forgotten the number..

If ALL empty billboards across this nation had something catchy
    such as

    BillboardBunny.com
    splashed across them..

    a) the passer by can remember that name
    b) it's exposure for the site name
    c) it would work..

Appraisal is $0, unless you can accompany it with a business plan and capital....and you really want to get into the billboard business.

Anyone can go register the name billboard, with an animal after the name....

Bunny has no significance to billboards, so branding is a must....lots of billboard "animal" names still available...as there should be.

I like it - it's got a ring to it. I like your idea too. Going to need lots of marketing though. Good luck.

    Thankyou Ed..

exactly what the 'empty billboards' in essence would do themselves..

and my thinking is that 'any billboard owner' sitting with empty billboards.. would GLADLY allow BillboardBunny.com usage of the board space, so as to 'promote' billboard ad sales...
    drives traffic to the site..

easier to remember then a LONG phone number..

    i'm gonna 'go for it'

There is no reason to assume that a billboard owner would want billboardbunny.com on his billboard. Actually, there is every reason why he wouldn't. Unless you plan on having just one billboard owner listing inventory on your site, a potential advertiser will see competing billboard locations and contact info. I think you have to think about the model some more.

    hi doberry..

not sure why you would 'doubt' that an empty billboard owner would not be open.. to FREE advertising.. online and off? my thinking is that if the sign is NOT MAKING him / her money.. they why would they NOT want to be included in a free billboard directory online?

    please expand on your thoughts.

    thankyou

If you want to put BillboardBunny.com on the billboard... you will have to pay.

They will just put "this sign available" and a catchy 800 number that they own.....why would they put your website on there for free....

Even if it is a listing of billboards...greggish is right...why alert website visitors to other spaces available...

    It makes no sense.

The only thing the name has going for it is that its easy to remember. If I where a Billboard owner I wouldn't consider it, I could do something myself if I wanted to advertising my name such as "Mediacom" "Astral".

TexasFilly, did you even read my post? The model as you have it now, will not work. A billboard owner putting Billboardbunny.com on his billboard is the equivalent of putting "By the way, go to this website to get a listing of all my competitors." You can still do a website to allow billboard owners to list inventory, but there is no way they will put billboardbunny.com on their billboard.

Ed has an avatar bunny. This domain has a ring to it and gets one's attention. Bet you will be able to get $150 to $250.

    ...and ads, and pop ups....

    Filly...Let the dream die..

If you think 800 numbers dont work...think again. Its just a big white billboard, with an 800 number...and more than likely, the driver has a cell phone...

Your idea would include: Confusing bunny logo, leaving driver to assume billboard may be rented...a website addresss, which the driver cannot access until he gets home....When he logs on, he must navigate through competitors....etc...etc...etc...

If a company wanted to advertise on a billboard, they'd look it up in the yellow pages.
