Oh, it's worth a lot of money - there's no question abour that. I am ready to sell it, but I was wondering if anyone had an idea about price. There are no other words that go with bingo and this one actually makes sense! Bingo is a big thing and needs domain names. Thanks anyway for noticing the post.

Add: I just realized you meant there was not a reason for me to make a website using the name to explain the rules of bingo. I don't make decent websites actually; I'm just a domain name person. I do know domain names but not all the tech stuff you guys know.

Ok. Google has currently 66,200,000 search results for the word 'bingo' by itself. Check out a few of them.

With respect to BingoLingo.com: For one thing, online bingo websites need names that are noticeable and memorable (so people will remember where to return to spend more money.) Notice some of the site names you see in that Google search.

You might read my paper at OneBigRoach.com about domain names, from my point of view. I realize you guys here are adept at other approaches to domain name use and their worth.

The really good brandable domain names are ones that refer to the product or service but are also memorable and unique. Think Amazon.com, Ebay.com, Google.com - they were important even early in the game. I am not talking about a domain name to catch traffic. I am talking about an end-user domain name.
Does no one here deal with names like that?

do you mean like carsjars.com, blogsflogs.com, partytardy.com, loansmoans.com ... these are nothing like ebay, amazon and google .. there was millions of dollars behind those companies becoming household names, and the names mean nothing - they have no ties to the products/services offered on their sites. good luck with it, if you have an offer you should accept.

people new to domain names have forgotten
amazon referred to a long river (of books)
google was an intentional misspelling of goggle
ebay refers to auction bays

we of course know that a good brand name does have to refer to the product/service, but many do in some way, or have an applicable connotation

and bingolingo.com of course does more directly refer to the product/service,

As I said at the start, I have frequently gotten offers for BingoLingo.com, when I have listed it somewhere so people knew it existed

The name is catchy, which is a plus. The words themselves don't really lend to any big money making opportunities.

However, monster.com is one of the large job related websites on the planet, and the name has nothing to do with jobs. So your site COULD be developed into a highly desirable property.

My concern would be the massive budget these players put out to make their domain name get associated with whatever their target was. Your site as of yet doesn't have the branding in place.

Personally, I'd say your best bet would be to sell to someone with the funding to make that branding happen.

I'm with in demand. I think it would require a lot of capital to get branding in place. It is catchy so mayve low to mid $xxx but 5 grand? no way.

I know online bingo and 'bingo lingo' is actually a term that's used regulalry however I'm not sure that it's a real money maker as a site.

I registered the name first years ago - WhoIs says 2002 but I haven't checked my records to see if it was earlier than that - when it seemed like a good bingo site name.
Since then, I see that the phrase 'bingo lingo' has come into use quite a bit - many google hits acknowledge its use and it has a respectable overture rating.
Maybe I should use it as a site to get affiliate income from Bingo sites. Does anyone want to do this (make the website) for half the profits? I am used to selling to end users but not using my names for traffic (as I apparently should) so I know I seem ignorant to a lot of you guys.
If you're serious about buying, make me a serious offer.
Or do you, or does someone else, want to sell it to someone bigger, for commission?
