If you think some of the above posters were not entire polite - I would say it's more their limited communication skills - teenage kids are worse.
Unless you believe in the boy-named-Sue method of character builiding don't let ButtHats, I mean your daughter, use the name, IMHO.
And don't get into flame wars with people with time on their hands to do tens of thousands of posts, IMHO, is another lesson for teenagers.

On second thought, if you are looking for links, it might not be a bad way to get a few thousand links if you don't mind making the bad domain name list along with PenIsland = PenisLand and others.
It's just not a good name. When I first saw the title of the thread, first thought that came to mind is what is a butt hat? http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...erm=Butt%20Hat That's just how it'll read to a lot of people. Why have that confusion when you can just find a better name.
I read this entire thread thinking the name actually was ButtHats and did not realize it was not until now! It would seem real easy to find a much better name. Don't forget at some sites you can not manually capitalize the first letters and it can appear as all upper or lower case and look like BUTTHATS or butthats.Originally Posted by Acro

I was wasting my time last night during the football game thinking if ButtHat.com and ButtHatS.com were worth anything. An edgy site might want it for a few hundred dollars, but it's an about $20/year investment A YEAR, not to mention the time and it does not look like, from Archive.org that anyone wanted it in the past. It would make an edgy name for an edgy blog, but NOT for a teenager.
I read it as Butt hats and even before clicking on the link I knew there is a War going on lol
The name Butt Hats for some reason does attract clicks and attention including my attention, but I am not sure it's the right kind of attention. A site or group similar to Lady Gaga who will do anything for attention might find the name useful. Here come the Butt Hats (people with their heads up their rear).
Sorry I saw butt hats too...I would not use this as a blog for your daughter.
