    Question chinese domains like BYTES.com.cn

    Hello,
any idea what the generic chinese domains below might be worth?

Second question: What if they were .cn rather than .com.cn ?

Third question: Is it worth registering generic .cn domains (English words) in March?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Jan 6 is the first day cn registration was opened to those regged before Dec 6, about 40,000 applications was put up (around 1/3 of more than 140,000 dot com/net/org. cn) on the first day.

Difficult to judge cn over com.cn, in Japan, co.jp is still mainstay although jp has opened. Most jp names are parked.

Guess it's still unknown territory there although based on current chinese domain forums, still low value on dot com.cn

IMHO, ccTLDs are for the most part, worthless. I do not think very highly of .com.cn, .net.cn, or .org.cn.

I will not get any .cn names either.

I think they will be much worth, because China has more than 1 Billion People in the country. Thats 1 Billion potential of Buyers/Sellers/Traders etc. - more than a other Country in the world. About 1/6 of the World-Population.

    >soundbites: About 1/6 of the World-Population.

Actually, China's almost 1.3 billion population is more than 1/5 of the world's total (6 billion).
Profoundly influenced by #Bauhaus, @Nameslave unrepentantly embraces #Minimalism in his #multimedia portfolio. His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard inspired at least partly by Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.
