I think depending on which capitol it is your looking at completely different values. ie: newyorkpages.com and boisepages.com

Can someone please tell me, wheather it makes sense to develop them as a kind of cityportal, or even if this domains have any value?
Thanks a lot!

To make it more understandable:
The city is always the capital of a country, like Berlin or Rome.
(changed it now in the posting)
Development and promotion is the only way those names will succeed. The "pages" part can be substituted by any number of other alternative endings, ex. RomeCentral, RomeOnline, RomePortal, RomeToday, etc. To sum up, the names have little value on their own ... and will require much promotion to build traffic. Type-in will be close to non-existent.

Certainly you are right. So I do own more around 30 domains with that ending pages I thought about developing them in a similary way like you do it with miami.biz. Good site, are you satisfied with the results?

Having capital cities and cross-linking, cross-promoting them may be a good way for you to go. Miami.biz ... I am satisfied with the results. My experimentation is limited by time and I want to try different things, perhaps something like Detroit.US but heavily weighted in the Miami real estate and Miami travel areas.Originally Posted by d-fox

I think it will be interesting if icann allows "+" on domain names.
