Country: | Cool, I respect all opinions. With their winter habbitat being developed for houses out here, Deer and Elk numbers do need to be controlled and the totally controlled and paid hunts do the job and provide money for their year round protection by Game officers. Starvation is not a pleasant way to go - I'm sure - which the hunts help prevent! Private land owner permits bring in HUGE bucks! Out here permits can be $10K for a Bull Elk and a Buck Deer. In Texas, years ago, it was $1K per year per weapon for a hunt lease on private land. Dave
