ENUM domains - your opinion ?!

    Hi @ll,

I am in the process of selling two ENUM domains. All who don´t know what enum is:

    http://www.networkmagazine.com/article/NMG20020304S0011/1

In short words: enum connects the telephone/voice world with the internet. Thus many believe it will be a breaking technology with a long future.

I own two domains that I believe are of most value to the companies that do business in this field:

    1. enumdomain.com
    2. enumregistration.com

When ENUM is official, the common user will be able to register his/her own ENUM domain. Therefore both domains could be precious to companies involved in this business.

I believe the prices for those two are both around 10K. I would appreciate your opinion on this. Also: if anyone knows anybody who might be interested in those domains, let me know. Also: how would you guys go forward to offer those two domains ?

Any suggestions welcome ! Thanks & best regards from Hamburg, Marco

I hope you can get that!

Future technology is a big gamble. I would say based on that particular technolgy, these domains may be worth $25 each.

    Good luck!

This is the FIRST TIME I've ever heard of "ENUM" ... for a while there I thought you were talking about "Enom", the Registrar.
I would agree with the other appraisers, to date ... but really hope this technology takes off for you and you get near your figure ($$), as posted!!
    Good Luck.

I knew about ENUM about 2 years ago (from enum.org), and tried to buy enum.com, but he wanted $20,000. :( (it was owned by a Microsoft employee, I believe) It then changed hands, probably at a good price given the current owner specializes in ENUM.

I wish toll-free numbers were traded like domain names. ENUM will be very interesting, but not sure how one would get 'vanity' numbers, as that's handled by the relevant country's telephone system.

Right now, ENUM identifiers would end in e164.arpa, so they're very ugly. But, I expect at some point they'd get their own TLD....maybe .enum, or .tel.

Well, time will tell -that´s true. I honestly believe that ENUM will succeed. But my goal is to sell the domains today. Any more comments ? Thanks & best Regards, Marco
