The big problem is that none of the big expired domain players offer affiliate setups other than snapnames and I guess GD.

1800EXPIREDDOMAINNAMES.COM or iEXPIREDDOMAINNAMES.COM
for $11.99 at GoDaddy!
If this was a generic .com I would agree 1000% but its not and you can brand any domain name around the 3 keywords. The only benefit in this domain is that it will give you a ranking boost for keywords (SEO) and the fact its almost 12 years old.
The problem with generics in our field is that they target end users or type-ins and SEO.
Pretty much anyone wanting to find an expiring domain knows a thing or two about the internet. Instead of spending 5 figures on a name like this it'd probably make more sense to buy a brandable and spend it on advertising on DN forum.
I know a lot of domain blogs do that, linking out to GD for affiliate commissions and such. I know most of the traffic will just be to register domains but I wonder how many sign up for some of the other stuff GoDaddy pushes. A bite here and there on some of that bigger stuff can pay off nicely not to mention if they do volume on just domains being registered. Don't think it would take too long to recoup what somebody paid for that domain, provided they put up a quality site.
