Fish.us
I think it has potential with:
- The act of fishing (in the U.S.), charters, tackle, etc.
- Aquarium trade
- To search or "fish" for something
- Seafood/Restaurant Industry
- A card game for kids
Excellent name, no giggles.

A really good name for a big market. Fishing is a big thing in the US. This domain will cover all areas for it. Definately a keeper for the future, and don't undersell it!
Have you had any offers for it yet?
Good luck!
Very nice name. It will be tough to decide when its best to sell.
damn thats where that went !Great CATCH !
Extremely nice name. Good find. Fishing.us might be better, but it is still a good name. Do not sell for less than $2,500.00. You should actively seek a client for a lease of the domain in order to make some money off of it right away. You could structure the lease in a manner to force the Tenant to put up some up-front development costs, and then give them an option to purchase after a fixed term, with no credit for the lease payments. That way you would be guaranteed 2 sources of revenue. You might try to contact some of the bigger fishing markets in Seattle, New York, San Diego and the like to see what kind of potential buyers are out there. You could also locate some of the big fish trade magazines, and place an advertisement for the domain. That would bring some buyers to you.
Just a few thoughts

Don't waste my time & I won't waste yours.
fish on!
Don't waste my time & I won't waste yours.
The fish industry is hughe and $15,000 is pocket money for them
if they need the name, they just write it off the profit (think thats the word for it).
dont sell cheap:

Monster catch!
Strangely enough, not the first offer. I get almost weekly offers for my other prized .us domain video.us, but not even a "nibble"Originally posted by kvinsencius

on this one.
Not that I'm in any hurry on this one. I consider it a long term investment, and may do some development on it.
You reeled in a nice one. This proze catch is prolly worth $5 - 15K.

Great name, almost ALL the good 4 letter .us words are gone. I also think fishing might have been better, but this is one memorable name.
Could be used as a resource site for people interested in and active in all areas of fishing, from conservation (big topic right now), market prices, boats and repairs, jobs, etc.
Lots of potential here, lots of work too.

Yet I guess you'd all say
fishers.biz
sucks ...
Hmmmm
P.S. I agree - "fishing" would have been better. But as an avid fisher myself, anything fishy will do.![]()
Good one... you should get some big bucks from that one.
What ??? You remind me of the appraisals at the old Afternic.Originally posted by Whois-Search

Maybe in 2000 but not 2003. I don't think .us tld were even appropriated yet though.
It's a .us tld.
Great domain name but in reality only worth top dollar as a developed or at least partially developed site.
In most circumstances .us tld's aren't worth the food to feed fish.
Undeveloped:
Min: $1000
Max $15,000+
If it were mine I would approach the Native American Indians
as prospective buyers first.
From a marketing perspective anyway
Cheers!
This domain reminds me that the highest price I ever saw for a domain on eBay was for sheep.com -- low 5 figures, IIRC. I like the flexibility of this one (for fish as sport, as food, or as pet). Mid to upper 4 figures, I would guesstimate (i.e., $5K-$10K).
