The FSF did not let dmoz use GNUHoo, and so they started as newhoo. My guess if either site got popular enough they would also not allow the GNU name to be used. So the limits the value a lot I think.

I hope I get this in the correct forum. first post and I don't want to mess it up.. but couldn't find a "developed sites appraisal" forum.
I own www.GNUDownloads.com and GNUFiles.com (same site, though due to my host.. files is currently not up). The site(s) are about 1 1/2 months old.. getting approx between 30-75 visitors a day mostly from Google and MSN search.
It has roughly 576 downloads available (changes every couple days when I add more of course), "FlashChat" for live php or HTML support (albeit rarely used by anyone)..etc.
A few of the downloads (say about 30 or so) are affiliate downloads (see the fonts section to see how that's incorporated) with one whole sale so far lol.
Any feelings as per value on this as a site/domain?

They are the primary sponser of the GNU project, and the owner of the GNU trademark.
Odd thing is I don't see any gnu software on your site.
As for the apraised value, due to this issue, I would have to say $0-100
