there are 1,220 average monthly searches and $.05 per CPC according to estibot.com

I know someone who just rebuilt his old truck and put in over $10,000 into it and mainly in "High Performance Kits' that are chromed a lot of the times for those parts that show, it is a real perty engine with tons of torque as he blueprinted the engine when he rebuilt it.

Less than 10 searches for "High Performance Kits" is unreal! There are High Performance Kits for Cars, Trucks, Snowmobiles, Boats, Bikes, Motorcycles and tons of other consumer products!!!

The Truth is the Truth of the searches for "High Performance Kits", all I am trying to say!

I rebuilt an engine and worked on many cars and trucks including my 1969 Firebird, competition orange with a white vinyl top, 400ci, 4 barrel, quadrajet speedometer went to 160 MpH and smoked rubber when I pushed the pedal only 1/2 way to the floor, lots of High Performance Kits for almost everything out there!

"results" does not equal "searches". I know this whole search thing has been explained to you before and you've been around long enough that you should understand, so either you don't pay attention or you just don't care. If you think the name is valuable then hold onto it, develop it, or try to sell it. Quit crying because people don't validate every domain decision you make. Good luck with it.

Not to put a downer on things, I enjoy your enthusiasm. As stated already, Google's keyword tool shows <10 'exact' searches for this term p/month. The number of Google search results (801,000) is the number of items indexed by Google, it is not (in this case) reflective of the topic's monthly search volume.

Make sure you use Google's keyword tool to estimate monthly search volume and tick the [exact] option on the left. This advice will save you a killing in the long run.

Still, if you can find a buyer, all of this is irrelevant!

I guess in my world, having been involved with cars and trucks as a hobby, my main life's work has been in designing and supporting electronic systems and products, but there are "High Performance Kits" for almost all consumer products like vehicles of any types and any other mode of transportation or recreation.

I do see things different than most people, a known fact because of how I am wired.

Sorry if I offended anyone, not my intention, just stating what I see and I do appreciate your feedback.

I am trying to get funding for developing some of my DNs for what potentials I see in them and was looking for what others in the biz saw in them.

I've also dabbled in the automotive world but you've made an incorrect assumption. Everything DOES use the tag line "High Performance Kit" to describe the product, you are absolutely right about that. Problem is people will be searching for "Exhaust System" not for "High Performance Kit".

Not to mention, the >10 searches on Google could be for an unrelated niche.. maybe 10 people are looking for high performance hydroponic kits? We just don't know.

Assumptions ruin websites quicker than bad taste.

If you want "High Performance Kits" of any kind, just go to HighPerfromanceKits.com and look what you want it for , a 2010 Ford F150 and all of the advertised "High Performance Kits" could be listed for it or just look up "Exhaust" and "2010 F150" and find what all are available for it!

This is more of a potential Marketing Website for ALL "High Performance Kits", not specific ones.

You are trying to design a business around a domain.

It is near on impossible to convincingly sell a product or service which you know nothing about. You have the motor bit covered, but it will fall down on the other categories, unless you somehow rope in specialists to help you.

Piece of advice I recently took from the owner of one of UK's largest mobile phone websites: become a specialist, customers buy from experts.

This project is massive, and you have no search volume to start with. Use your salesmanship to flog the domain and go again!

the domain looks like it has legs, but in reality it is very vague


simply because there is no "kit" that contains "high performance".

there are a multitude of part changes and engine output ratios that have to be fine tuned, to convert a vehicle to a degree where it achieves a higher level of performance, in comparison to other vehicles within it's make/model or class.

Some "High Performance Kits" really are "High Performance" but it generally is a Marketing term for the Auto - Truck - everything else, parts aftermarket that generally do increase the performance of the original parts but not all.

A trademark-able Marketing Term!

ABSOLUTELY the whole idea and concept of this project, mostly for the PPC - CPC revenue!

With some GREAT articles, it could become a destination Website!
