    Looks like .com registrations have been maxed out. Everytime someone registers a .com - it gets a $0.00 value. With over 22 million registrations for .com domains, it's really hard to find a good .com that has not been registered already.

    The only good appraisals I've seen for .coms recently, occurred when the person has bought the name from a reseller.

    You could develop the website and make it a success like that.
    Otherwise try registering a .us, .biz, or .info. (I prefer .us - but you'd have to satisfy the nexus requirement).
