If i was MTV and someone came to me trying to sell a domain for $1m, i would take them to court...........as most people wouldn't be able to afford the legal fee's, and that would be alot cheaper than paying $1m.

Don't know if there will be a trademark problem or MTV, channel 4 or Paramount will try it on with a bad faith law suit
But ...... maybe its only good for the movie / tv programme at the end of the day... yes you could say its a generic name - but you say "jackass" to anyone in the UK and they instantly think of the tv show
traffic alone worth having though - they could say they are losing out on this traffic to the official site

However, $1 million was not my appraisal, but rather what I thought MTV would cough up, or at least make a counter offer on.
I bet this thing gets crazy hits...people just assume they will find a website based on the TV show...
This whole stunt thing is popular now...backyard wrestling, bum fights, jackass..etc...ALL of this will fade in less that a year....and the domain will be appraised soley on the name as a "farm animal", or an "idiot"... not the stunt hype.
As far as an appraisal as a farm animal.. well, worthy of low 5 figures.
