    JailbreakUnlocker.com

    JailbreakUnlocker.com

    Just registered it today 10/5/11

27K searches for exact "Jailbreak Unlocker" term / month on Google. Almost all USA searches.

Seems like a decent jailbreak domain to me.

Anyone have a good idea what I should ask for this domain?

    Thanks in advance...

Delete it and see if you can get a refund. Seems amazing that you joined in 2005, yet registered this name today. Whenever someone mentions Google search volume for names that make zero sense then that is a red flag. Kinda like when someone mentions the word premium or generic when selling a name. You can bet all the money in the world that the names are horrible and incomprehensible when those words are used in a sales thread. I don't take anyone seriously who mentions Google searches, or uses the words premium or generic.

I know that for the last 15-20 years close to 7 billion human beings have had a chance to register this name, but not a single one of them thought it was worth the registration fee. If you think something happened between yesterday and today that makes this name worth 8 bucks, then I think you are mistaken.

Some of the things I see around here are just baffling. You deserve harsh treatment here. When you list a name like this you are guaranteed to take up at least a minute or two of a lot of people's time. To me, it shows a total disregard for the lives of others when you cause them to waste a few minutes of breathing air on something like this. It's not like you just started in the domain game yesterday.

Pretty ridiculous. I'm not even going to Google the name. It's not worth anything, and I don't even want to know what Google says.

Happy Halloween if I don't get back to you by the end of the month.

Well I guess you don't have a clue what jailbreaking / unlocking software is. There is actually one named version called "Jailbreak Unlocker Pro". http://www.jailbreakunlock.org/public/gold-package/

I really was hoping someone with experience in iphone, PS3, iPod, iPad, XBox,etc. jailbreak / unlocking could give me an idea of what this domain could be worth.

You obviously don't realize how HUGE a market this software is and is going to become many times more in demand. I happen to know it sells like crazy. After you use some of the software out there you can use the iPhone, for example, with ANY sim card with ANY carrier anywhere in the World and its safe and perfectly legal and does not void the iPhone warranty. There is going to be approx 45 billion devices connected to the internet within the next ten years. Compare that with approx 4.5 billion today.

Yeah, most of us have regged many stupid worthless domains. I'm sure I'll regg many more over the long haul. And I have some of the best keyword and domain software you can buy, but I still use Adwords keyword tool too, like with this one.

Yeah, that's why I was totally surprised this domain was available in the .com.

And by the way, no trademark issues with JailbreakUnlocker.com.

I do appreciate your input though.

Sorry I wasted a few minutes of your valuable time WhoDatDog....

I agree, the market is huge. 120+ million iPhones out there so could definitely monetize the domain if it was developed. I see http://www.jailbreakunlock.org/jailb...ck-affiliates/ has an affiliate program so you could setup a basic site and try and capture some of those huge traffic numbers and www.jailbreakunlock.org does all the work.

Just the domain, probably not worth anything. You would need a more popular term like jailbreak iphone 4, or unlock iphone 4. All of those are probably taken.

Best bet is to develop and monetize.

Yeah, there are a lot of high traffic jailbreak / unlock domains that contain "iPhone, iPhone 3 ,iPhone4" etc.. but the last thing I would want if I was making good affiliate revenue after developing a domain like that is a cease and desist from Apple due to the trademark issues with those domains.

And with all the expanded capabilities one gets from jailbreaking the iPhone, I'm sure Apple is going to start doing it , if that haven't already. Apple does vigorously defend its marks
