I picked it up several years ago.
Depending on the day, johnkennedy.com gets 200 to 1000+ daily hits.
I just don't know what to do with the name - never have.
Do you get any sales of the items stamped with the name?
a great name...it would be nice to see a site about JohnJohn or his dad...

Yikes! My first instict is to advise you NOT to post it here for "appraisal". My second immediate thought is to recommend that you go directly to the "Legal issues" section here on this site.
I'm mentioning this because the defintion of "bad faith" is very subjective. Moreover, this domain is potentially highly valuable, and there ARE or WILL BE potentially interested parties, possibly estates [plural]. I'm not a lawyer, but I suggest you talk to one. Seriously.
Good Luck.
A Lawsuit..thats it's vale..
The very idea that you would post it shows you dont know what you are doing..
FYI Both JFK and John Jr. are dead.
I think the web site is in the right direction content-wise, as it has photos and biographical info. Although it could benefit from a decent redesign![]()
According to SwitchBoard.com there are 100+ John Kennedys living in the US. I would think a person could register his own domain name without any legal implications. It would all depend on how it's used. If it's something positive about John Kennedy I would think he would have nothing to worry about. You can't cybersquat your own or a very common name can You? If you find out that you'll get in some sort of trouble developing a site about John Kennedy, just hold on to it until they make you an offer to buy it. Nice Name........Good LuckOriginally posted by CoolHost

Exactly. However, and be sure, their respective estates are very much alive and aware! Of course, this is all in my opinion as an observer.
Good Luck.
Heck, there is even the group "Dead Kennedys". I guess they will be sued as well.

Whoa ... big assumptions and one huge question mark in that post! DA ... please go to "Legal issues" for clarification here.
Good Luck.
I own a very famous writer's last name .com
But it's very commom where I come from (he's a transplant).
His publisher simply registered his full name.
About johnkennedy.com he's widely known either as JFK or Jack. If you are getting traffic, you are lucky; put it to good use![]()
Good Name.
About this name, this is JohnKennedy.com
NOT JohnFKennedy.com
Unlimited Domain Hosting - $20/mo
Dedicated Server - $99/mo
Great domain and good search numbers too.
As said earlier in this thread you better do some homework when it comes to legal or â„¢ issues though.
And even then, you may have to walk on eggshells.
Cheers!

"WIPO says that under the UDRP, personal names that also qualify as trademarks, whether registered or unregistered, can be protected."
"iv) by using the domain name, you have intentionally attempted to attract, for commercial gain, Internet users to your web site or other on-line location, by creating a likelihood of confusion with the complainant's mark as to the source, sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of your web site or location or of a product or service on your web site or location."
That was my point...
There was a precedent in the case of AlbertEinstein.com for names like this.

Alberta Hot Rods were allowed to keep it, when challenged.
