Q
lol sounds russian for some odd reason...
lol, its kaput! gone in a flash.. (the meaning)
Kaput is a rearly-used russian slang word - something like
finished/stopped/died/no-more etc. with a little laughing in meaning. It is not even clear if this is a noun or verb or smth.
The only kind of a russian site I can imagine under that name is somebody's personal not-very-serious page. No russian businesses would use this word in their name/trademark/servicemark/description.
LOL my brother speaks russian he says it's a common word when making fun of something or like you said finished/stoped//.....I like it though cause its short and catchy!
this name may have some meaning in German though.
It's also used a lot in the English language.

ka·put
adj. Informal
Incapacitated or destroyed.
[German kaputt, from French capot, not having won a single trick at piquet, possibly from Provençal.]
It also means condom - but I forgot in what language.
I like it Gourd because it is so easy to remember. Could have come in handy during the Internet bubble burst to catalog all of t he companies that went kaput! Not sure of the best commercial use for it but I'm sure there is one out there somewhere.
.Nets are good for internet service providers but I don't think any of them will want to be called kaput.net - doesn't conjure up the image of reliable Hosting service!![]()

kaput means broken in German...
maybe you could point to internettrafficreport.com - germans could check when the net was kaput...
i have no idea!
i would say it would be good for some sort of repair site. especially computer repair. something like
kaput.net: is your hard drive kaput? we can help...

kaput means "inopoerative", like some of you said already.
An inoperative network is no good so let's see waht it could be used for..
I think both the defunt company ans the broken hardware are excellent suggestions.
ANother use would be for a recycling business -- where of course inoperative equipment is treasured.. kaput.net : The online junkyard. Get cash for your home appliances and assorted junk that left us for ever!
NameHoarder.com -yes I am one! "I can't stop registering them!" UGH!
Excellent idea kid! One of the most memorable names you could think of for a repair shop.Originally posted by kidkool
