    LosAltosHillsCA[dot]com - Most expensive place in USA

    Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the town has a population of about 8,000 and the domain has 880 exact global searches with $1.71 CPC as per GAKT.

    Thanks in advance

    A 3 word domain coupled with a abbreviation... Let me ask you; What do you think it's worth? and forget about it being the most expensive place in the USA, I fail to see how that adds value, I'd rather own the cheapest place to live with a higher population and better recognition.

    The domain contains 3 keywords because that's the town's official name, that's one of the differences between geo and other kinds of domains. As for the CA, yes, it's an extra, but again, that's the way people search for the town.

    Most people search for cities and towns in search engines, they don't type 4 word URL's in the address bar hoping they get lucky... And if they do type the URL in the address bar, they would use the .GOV TLD, it's what's most widely used by Cities, Counties and States.

    No, no you dont get it, how many "words" in a city or state name does not dictate the value. LosAngelesCA is much better domain than BarstowCA, NewYorkCityNY is much better than lodiCA and so on, it is all about the market.

    Also nobody is typing in anything, we are talking about SEO here.

    This domains value is very low because of the low population and no commercial or industrial zones and geared towards one market who would have interest.

    Yes expensive cities do far better than poor cities IMO. If this was a poor city of the same size worth almost $0. But only a factor in selling to an end user in that city.

    Low to mid $xxx.

    I got it in post #2 when I wrote; "I'd rather own the cheapest place to live with a higher population and better recognition".

    I own a geo domain of a very small town myself and the traffic is miniscule, I agree that if developed and optimized, it would rank high and traffic would follow, But anyone can hand reg a domain with hyphens and other keywords to achieve the exact same thing, kind of like what this guy did;

    los-altos-hills-ca.com

    His PR is 15, and losaltoshillsca.com is nowhere on the map.

    1) The domain was registered 2 days ago.

    2) los-altos-hills-ca.com, being full of hyphens, looks spammy, so no reselling potential.

    3) The highest possible PR is 10 and los-altos-hills-ca.com has PR 15 with an empty blog and 5 indexed pages?

    4) Can you show me where that domain is exactly on Google when searching for the town?

    Thanks
