    LosAngelesAC.com

    This is a domain name for Los Angeles Air Conditioning repair services. I wanted to see what you guys think the domain name is worth, and what the domain with a website is worth? Currently, it does not have traffic yet.

    http://LosAngelesAC.com

    P.S. The .net version is owned by an actual air conditioning repair services company.

    Thank you.

    Well then you answered your own question.
    They could easily pay 5k for it.
    Maybe you could trade it for a $3k air conditioner.

    The name is a good name. Forget about the website part of it, for now. Lots of times, when people try to develop a name without turning it into a real business, they miss out on potential end-user sales. What happens is that someone with an air conditioning business is looking for a name, he will see that there is a developed site and won't inquire further about buying it.

    This is why people miss out on big sales. They think that they have to develop every name, and most of their development attempts are in areas that they are not passionate about, and therefore, they are just spinning their wheels.

    It depends on if you are in the domain business or the air conditioning business. If you are the domain business then I think it is best not to do the small development stuff. You want people to buy your domain, so there should be a way for people to realize that the name is for sale when they land on the page.

    You also need to realize that just because there are tons of air conditioning companies in Los Angeles, and you would think that many would surely pay a few thousand for this name, it doesn't always work out like that. I have had many many many names where I had the dotcom and someone else was running a business on the .net or even .us, and it was like pulling teeth to give the names away at times.

    On the flip side, you never know when you will sell a name like this out of the blue for real nice money. This is a good name. If you acquire a bunch of these and keep them in the vault, then you will get some decent sales. Good luck, and nice pickup.

    I was hoping you would continue with negative part so I could offer him $300 for it, hehe.

    People think WhoDatDog is just bashing people's name on his appraisals. I think he's just being honest/direct about them. It's just that most names out for appraisal aren't that great, which is why he doesn't give a high appraisal, and if he does, it would be sugar coating.

    I like LosAngelesAC.com. I have a feeling, in time you'll get lucky. AC people make money. Nowadays, a lot of the small AC one hand man usually would not pay over $500 for an AC name. A lot don't even make enough to cover their monthly spending, partly the economy. But big growing ones will want it. I wouldn't be surprised if you get over $10k, at the right time, right buyer.

    Thank you everybody!

    @WhoDatDog
    I really appreciate your input, and the fact you spend the time writing the appraisal feedbacks. Thank you VERY much!

    P.S. I took your advice and removed the developed website and put up a parked page with an inquire to buy (once the DNS propagates). My original thoughts were it had more value if I could get it ranked in the search engines, but that makes sense that it may alienate a prospective buyer to think the owner of the domain name is not selling the website, and I lose the sale.
