I believe the domain name really fits the extension but please let me know if you think otherwise, and no, I don't think its a trademarked name as there are several other software & hardware applications which use the term "media player" in their name or description e.g.

I think it's a an excellent use of the extension. As for value hmmm. All depends on if you can get the right end user. The multi product use of the term should really help you find someone willing to pay good money for it. If it was mine I'd pitch it @ mid $xxxx of course if you hold onto it for 2 plus years you should get more imo
