Its not the type of name with any commercial appeal, and I don't see someone paying big money for it. This is an example of a dictionary word that doesn't have a ton of value. People can torture themselves and try to rationalize why it is worth a lot of money, but that won't change the reality.

I would say it is worth $500 to 1K just because it is a legit word and there are enough people who attach value to dictionary words that it will attract some interest. If you find someone who appraises it higher, then make them put their money where there mouth is. Anyone appraising higher than 1K should be willing to buy it for the price they mention.

I would rather have $500 in cash than the name, if I could choose either one.

This is the most asinine statement going - shows that WDD has no clue as to what the word "appraisal" actually means - it is a language understanding that she/he is simply not comprehending...home appraisers are not willing to purchase each house they are appraising...this is not the "pawn shop domain purchase" section. By her/his logic - WDD says "it is worth $500 to 1K" then says "I would rather have $500 in cash than the name" - so she/he is saying what? It is worth $500-1k, but he would rather have $500 than the name? Ok so if appraisal = what WDD would personally pay then >499???. Whatever.

That being said. I think WDD's appraisal of 500 - 1k is about right (domainer/reseller wise). I say that because I cannot think of a good way to develop this name. There may be people out there that have an amazing use for this name which would make the name much more valuable to them (maybe a Game app or something - who knows)....but I agree with WDD's appraisal based on my lack of ideas.

First thing that came to mind when I saw this domain name is that it could be a political slogan or something trying to prove that the other party has been "misleading" the people... I'd pitch this to one of the parties.

It could be used for a consumer awareness/complaints/false advertising/people complaining about a product or company related site. These kind of sites do pretty well. I would say at least $2500.

Me too. Gotta love political slogans. I own the domain name thumping.com and when President Bush said the Republican party took a thumping after the 2006 election I got flooded with inquires about the domain name.

These kinds of domains all seem to sell for 2k to 3k though.

I could see it selling for low x,xxx. Could be a title of a game, movie, or tv show for example. Its a short, one word .com. I wouldn't say it's a commonly used word, but it isn't obscure either.
