Say you were thinking of setting up a mail order site for erotic toys and how much do they offer. You could also ask if they have an affiliate programme.

Yes, but you don't want to sound desparate to your buyer.
Try to make it sound as if you had "big" plans.. ;-)

If its a big company, then you could ask more then 1k offcourse. Just tell them, that you were planing on setting your own webstore and selling erotic toys for a commision, but if they give you a reasonable offer, you might consider it. That way i guess theyll name the top price..
