I hope this is the right place to post
What is the general opinion on .biz domains. How does their value compare to say a .com , .org or even a .info
Any other thoughts / tips?
Would really value others opinions as I am getting conflicting views
best wishes and thank you

Welcome aboard, sunroomguy!
Yeah, maybe Gold Cafe is a good place for such discussion.
My take is that: unless it's a very good name (real keyword or keyword combo and not those so-called "dictionary words"), stick with .com. I know the temptation, just try .ca, and you a whole bunch available; but even as Canadian, I haven't wasted much time on them. The same with .biz, not to say .info.![]()
Profoundly influenced by #Bauhaus, @Nameslave unrepentantly embraces #Minimalism in his #multimedia portfolio. His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard inspired at least partly by Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.
My main reason for posting (apart from getting a general feel for .biz) is that I have had my eyes on a .biz that happens to be a generic keyword domain. (not a biggy - but a useful one for me) The price appears a little on the high side and frankly would not be worth whats asked to most people. However I happen to already own some other related domains, so hense the interest.
In fairness to the seller, I guess they know all of this - but if you want it, you want it (at a sensible price within reason)
Checked out the Gold Cafe - realise now that was a more appropriate place.
Thank you for bearing with a newbie with me
