    Some sex.ccTLD are worth much more than $4k, however, sex.cex(crappy extension) is hardly worth low-mid $xxx.

    I suppose you are not revealing the extension here because you found an available sex.something domain and you are thinking to register it. While we cannot help you with the value without knowing the extension, I can tell you some things to look out for:
    1. Check the rules, as well as the laws of the country that sells this ccTLD, and make sure that a) you are allowed to register adult domains and b) you are allowed to build an adult website (if you are not allowed to build a website, then you cannot sell it - that is the whole point of the domain's existance)
    2. Make sure you are allowed to resell the name. If you are, find out how much it costs to transfer the ownership
    3. Find out the renew cost of the domain
