I think 'DN' as a suffix has meaning only to a domainer. Other than that no the name is not bad.

Is the name really that bad?
Or is it just that I'm asking too much?
I accept any advise or comment, even flames as far as they are creative![]()

NameNewsletter.com - free lists of available domain names
ZoneFiles.net (beta) - ccTLD and gTLD droplists
Decent name...but not worth much
the good thing about it ...its not hard to find where the end users are for that name.

The name is a little long too.. i'd prefer DNMarket instead.
Exactly. End users for this domain are domainers.
I see a lot of people having their portfolios listed in every ugly domain.
And I think DNMarketplace.com is a lot nicer than having your portfolio in your blog or subpage of some unrelated (unrelated to domain sales) domain.
imo...
the words "market" and "place" describe the same thing
ie: supermarket / fleamarket / fruitmarket
if you add "place" to the end (suffix) of each example above it would seem like an unnecessary addition to describe something.
therefore making it less appealing to a buyer
if you added "dn" in the front (prefix) of each example, then it would sound much better, again imo.
of course if it's developed and you get a following, then that would be a different story

Ohhhh, I see. Thanks for your comment.
But isn't "marketplace" as whole an english word???????? I'm now doubting of my english!!
Check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketplace
I like it. I hope you can sell it and make a lot of money

sure "marketplace" is a word, but it's not used much in general conversation where it applies to people going somewhere.
where someone says "I'm going to the fruit market or supermarket
or they may say "I'm going up to that marketplace around the corner".
That's more or less how I was seeing it.
though some may like it some may not...but that can be with any domain.
in the end, it has to sound good to the potential buyers' ears....along with the price.![]()

You're exactly right I think:I would never say "I'm going up to the marketplace". It just doesn't sound right.it's not used much in general conversation where it applies to people going somewhere
However, if I were a domainer who was doing a search in Google to find "domain name buying and selling" and I was presented with:
DNPlace.com - (A message board or registrar or ?)
DNMarket.com - (A market watch/report service?)
DNMarketPlace.com - (Oh, a place to take my stuff to sell and buy other stuff, a Market Place).
Or the way I see it anyhow, as for development.

Well, this polemic pretty much explain what I'm seeing. It is hard to perceive whether this domain is cool or not.
BTW, is that Cancún in your profile's photo?
