I suppose that I should point out that we have received several offers for $500,000 and one for $600,000.
I thought these were low since Computer.com sold for $2 million and Software.com for $3 million.
1M and more.
How much traffic does it get?
I'm guessing about 1,000 type-ins per day and 5-8,000 misdirects. Over the years, lots of companies have used "server.com" as a generic example of a domain name. Microsoft was the worst.
fab name no doubt- but software and computer are a bit more broad ended names than server. dont know if you will see 2 or 3 mil.
The Bids For Kids Charity Domain Auction is happening right now! Only until Oct. 3rd:

So it's 6k to 9k uniques per day? Since it's a parked page it should be making a good amount of money from all this traffic.
Let assume 50% conversion rate - 3k to 4.5k clicks at a PPC range of $0.10 to $0.30
That's $300 to $450 per day - about $100k to $160k per year just with PPC ads on the low end - or $900 to $1,350 per day on the high end - about $320k to almost $500k per year on the high end of the PPC range.
Adjust these figures accordingly if the conversion rate is less than 50%
I see why you'd want to seek offers beyond the $500k range. Your target buyer should be a corporation that'd invest in the brand name (much like the Fund.com story) and probably not a big traffic monetizer. This way you can probably get into the 7 figure range.

I would keep this one until someone offered me at least a mill $. If it has good traffic as well, it might even go beyond that.
Your numbers look good Acro, however, I have experienced clicks with Hosting keywords in the $1.50 to $2.00 RPC range. Even with server type keywords are paying a little higher.
7 figures

Obviously Computer.com did not receive 2M offers earlier, so you have to wait, or to accept existing offers...
7 Figures minimum. You might even be able to cultivate those other offers into the offer you want by using some great sales skills. Unless you know the buyers personally you may never know how deep their pockets are. Great name!
No less than 1-2 million $$$ end user.

Correct, I was referring to CTR.
It would also make a great site for the waitor/waitressing profession![]()
