I think I might build a website with articles on sharks and their behavior patterns. Lot's of shark pictures and varieties of the different shark species of the ocean world.

Nice name.
Could be a good site, with a forum. If available, you should get the "s" too.
SharkEncounter(s).com

Thanks for the positive feedback folks. This name is possibly trade marked, but I am not sure I am in violation of trade infringement. "SeaWorld" amusement park has the name
Shark Encounter trade maked already. They are using the name for amusement park purposes. They also have the two words seperated "Shark" "Encounter" which I obviously do not. I also do not plan to use the name SharkEncounter.com for anything to do with the amusement park industry.
Anyone else have any input on this subject? Please advise!
Nice for domain registration service, even though domain name isn't on topic, but it sounds cool and it is easy to remember:
Register your domain at SharkEncounter.com for only 10$![]()
One of the best registration site names I ever heard/saw was nameshark.com. Name would have been hot when the shark stuff was all in the US news. I would not waste time and money on a name that has a trademark associated with it.....but it could still be a good sight for shark encounters but i'd say not many people have had one so I'd do research and just print stories for people to read.
I regged it earlier today. Like I said, I am not sure I have a trade mark violation. Any attorney's in the house?
Sea World indeed owns the tm for "shark encounter" :

Feel free to say that to the SeaWorld lawyers![]()
Well what's the worst that can happen you loose the domain and loose the couple bucks that it took to register it? Small compared to the $1K they have to front for a URDP dispute....assuming they even find out about it. Sell to unwitting end user.![]()
Watch out for the Great White!
I like it
